Bio
Claire Lavabre is a French designer and photographer based in Copenhagen. Her work is characterised by balanced compositions that explore colour, texture, and form, with a strong emphasis on aesthetics, materials and functionality. A graduate of ENSCI/Les Ateliers in 2012, she earned her master’s degree in industrial design before gaining experience at the studios of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Inga Sempé, and Leon Ransmeier.
She has since collaborated with renowned designers and architects on projects spanning object design, exhibition scenography, interior architecture and photography. From 2017 to 2018, she was a resident fellow at the Villa Medici, Académie de France in Rome. She subsequently established her own studio, designing objects alongside personal and commissioned photographic projects. It has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums.
In 2025, she joined the design team at HAY.
